Vicki Cotton worked over 40 years in customer service and data entry in Tulsa and is now enjoying retirement. She has been a long time volunteer at the Tulsa County Democratic Party (TCDP) office. She's been active in campaigns since 1978 starting with candidate Don Cummings Senate Dist. 54 who was the last Democratic state senator from Broken Arrow. She did volunteer scheduling for Gary Allison in 1988. Vicki has worked phone banks for Synar, Price, Glassco, Dodd and Rice. Her 40 years of data entry experience has been utilized in the Rice and Edmondson campaigns and at TCDP office. She was a Gore delegate to the state convention in 1988. Additionally, Vicki has assisted in various TCDP fundraisers and registered voters at the Tulsa State Fair. She is active in the Democratic Luncheon Club and maintains the attendance records for the club.
Vicki has been married 36 years to Marty Cotton a retired Letter Carrier and member of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) local 1358. She is a member of the NALC Auxiliary 2720 and has been treasurer of the local since 1988. Vicki also serves as State Legislative Liaison for the Auxiliary keeping the membership abreast of legislation that affect Postal Employees. She is a member of the NALC Grassroots organization and works to educate Congress on postal issues and to solicit their support. Vicki was Vice President of the Oklahoma State NALC Auxiliary from 1989 to 2009 and is currently the State President of the Auxiliary.
Vicki was honored by the Tulsa County Democratic Party with the Dennis Clark Annual Volunteer award in 2010 for her work and dedication to democratic candidates and the Party.
